Make-up Artistry Diploma

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair and Media Make-Up is designed for learners aged 19 and over who aspire to develop the advanced creative and technical skills needed to work as professional make-up artists across the beauty, fashion, and media industries. This hands-on qualification covers a wide range of specialist units including media make-up, fashion and photographic make-up, camouflage make-up, and the design and application of face and body art, as well as essential salon practices such as health and safety, client care, and promoting products and services. Optional units like Mehndi skin decoration and salon display allow learners to further enhance their creativity and commercial awareness. Delivered face-to-face over 25 weeks at our Rochdale centre, the course blends theory with extensive practical experience to prepare learners for employment or self-employment within the make-up and media sectors. Successful graduates can progress to advanced VTCT specialist qualifications, higher education, or establish a career as a freelance or salon-based make-up artist.
